根據MLB官網,世界排名第2、剛在世界12強棒球賽奪得隊史首座世界第一冠軍金盃的台灣隊,險些未能晉級2026年世界棒球經典賽(WBC)。

報導指出,比賽陷入拉鋸戰,任何領先都無法讓人安心。每當台灣隊得分,西班牙似乎總能迅速反擊。然而,最終地主隊把握住關鍵時刻。西班牙在得點圈有人的情況下,12次打數僅擊出2支安打,留下11個殘壘,最終吞下敗仗。
